This was my second time joined gathering organised by Fun ! Japan Malaysia. With registration fee MYR 30, i able to met new friends and try to taste Japanese food in Kuala Lumpur.
So this time around, the organiser Fun! Japan Malaysia has picked Tea - Press (The Japanese Tea Roasters) located in Damansara Uptown for our gathering session. I was soooo soooo excited because I'm now big fan for Tea / Matcha. Besides, gathering with new friends shall be in casual way , right? ;)
Our gathering session starts with the demonstration how to make Wagashi.
Wagashi? What is Wagashi? Apa tuu..??
"Wa" (和) meaning "Japanese", and "kashi" (菓子) "Candy"
Wagashi (和菓子 wa-gashi) are traditional Japanese confections that are often served with tea, especially the types made of mochi, anko (azuki bean paste), and fruits.
Japanese cuisine more on arts. They interpret well Wagashi based on the four season ; Summer, Spring, Autumn and Winter. The dessert taste sooo good, not too sweet and not to bitter. The filled are made originally from redbean paste and matcha.
I swear you won't upset for the first try
